Your renuzy plan at renewal

Before each yearly charge we write to you. If your club has grown past its plan, we write first with the new price: 30 days ahead on yearly, or with the bill a month before on monthly. It only changes if you are still over on the day.

Before a yearly charge

If you pay yearly, the club owner gets an email 35 days before each yearly charge: the price, the date, what is included, and how to switch to monthly or cancel. The owner and treasurer hear again 30 days before, 7 days before and the day before. A monthly plan gets no email before each charge. Both are on the Plan page. Switching to monthly starts at the renewal, so there is no yearly charge. Cancelling is one click and everything keeps working to the end of the year you paid for.

On the Plan page the same steps are drawn in order under How your plan renews, with your renewal date.

If a payment does not go through

The owner and treasurer get an email the day a renuzy charge is declined, and Stripe tries the card again over the following days. Nothing stops while it does. If it is still unpaid, renuzy writes again 3, 7 and 14 days later, and stops the moment it is paid. If Stripe stops trying before it is paid, the plan ends: you then have 90 days to download your member list, payments and reports, and renuzy emails 14, 7 and 1 days before the club is deleted. Update the card on the Plan page.

A card about to expire

When the card on file expires before your next charge, the owner and treasurer get an email 30 days and 7 days before the end of the month it expires. If your bank sends Stripe the new card, these emails stop by themselves.

When your club grows

  1. 30 days before each yearly renewal, renuzy counts your active members: everyone whose dues are covered, including life and complimentary members. A household counts once, through the person who pays; someone in a household who pays their own membership counts on their own. Lapsed, prospective and former members are free and never count.
  2. If the count is over your plan, the owner gets an email that day with the new plan, its price from your locked price card and the date it starts.
  3. On the renewal date we count again. Your plan moves up only if you are still over. If you are back within your plan, it stays as it is and we tell you.

Nothing ever changes in the middle of a period you have paid for. A monthly plan is counted once a year too, on the monthly bill a month before its renewal date. That bill stays at your current price, the email says so, and the bigger plan starts with the next bill.

When your club shrinks

renuzy never moves a plan down by itself. If the count shows you would fit a smaller plan, we tell you, and you reply to move down at your next renewal. We write back to confirm the new plan and its date. On the day we count again, and the club moves down only if it still fits the smaller plan.
