Sell things online: plant sales, shirts, raffle tickets

Make a page for a sale: items with prices, how many you have, sizes, pickup or delivery. People pay on Stripe into your club’s own account, the same as tickets.

  1. Go to Your website and press Sell things online, or find the same link on the Events page. Give the sale a name, such as Spring plant sale, and press Start the sale. It starts as a draft that only officers can see.
  2. Add what you are selling. Each thing has a name and a price, in whole dollars like 35 or with cents like 4.50. If there is a limit, say how many you have, and the most one order can take. Add choices, one a line, for sizes or colours: people then say how many of each they want.
  3. Add a few words, a photo, the days orders open and close, and how people get what they bought: pickup at the hall on Saturday, or delivery in town.
  4. Members can get a lower price: tick Members pay a different price and give each item its member price. Members sign in to see it. You can also let people add a donation to their order.
  5. Press Preview to see the page as buyers will, then Open the sale and share its address. A Buy button for your own website, a newsletter or an email is at the bottom of the sale, and on Your website.

Paying. With Stripe connected, people pay on Stripe's page and the money goes straight to your club, the same as tickets and dues. renuzy takes no fee and adds nothing to the price. Without Stripe, people order and pay when they collect, and you record the cash or check. Everyone gets a receipt by email with a link back to their order.

Stock. renuzy counts down what is left as people order. Two people can never both buy the last one. A checkout that is left unpaid gives its things back after half an hour. When something runs out the page says Sold out; when everything has gone, or the last day has passed, or you press Close the sale, the page says the sale has closed.

Orders. The sale's page lists every order with what it holds and any note the buyer left. Press Picked up when they collect, Took cash for an order paid in person, and Refund to give the money back: a card payment goes back through Stripe, the same way a ticket refund does. Press Download the orders for a spreadsheet of them all.

Your books. Sale money shows in the board report and the accounting files as sales income, apart from dues, so it never counts toward anyone's membership. A donation added at checkout goes with your gifts.

What people see first. On the Sales page, choose what your club's address shows: your full club website with a Sales link in its menu while a sale is open, just a sales page with a small Join link and Members sign in, or just your join page, as before. Your join page, your sales and your other pages keep their own addresses whichever you choose. Your posters and QR codes point at your club's address, so they show your choice.

Raffle tickets. You can sell raffle tickets as a plain item, and renuzy keeps count of how many were sold. renuzy does not draw winners or run the raffle. Raffles are covered by gambling rules in many US states and in Australia, and often need a permit or a licence. Your club is responsible for following its local raffle rules.
