Tickets for events
Sell tickets with a member price and a non member price, free tickets, limits and sales dates. Paid online to your club’s Stripe, or at the door.
- Go to Events and press Tickets under the event.
- Add a ticket type: a name, the member price, and a non member price if anyone may come. Put 0 for a free ticket. Leave the non member price empty for members only.
- Set how many of that type there are, and the most people the event can hold, if there is a limit. Add the days sales open and close if you want.
- Share the event's ticket link, or let members find it on their Events page.
With Stripe connected, people pay on Stripe's page and the money goes straight to your club, the same as dues. Without it, people reserve a ticket and pay at the door. Everyone gets their ticket by email with a QR code.
Reminders to pay at the door: someone who reserved a ticket to pay at the door gets a reminder 3 days before the event and the day before, saying how much to bring and how to give the seat back. Each goes once, between 9am and 6pm your time, and they stop once the ticket is paid, refunded or cancelled. To switch either off, open the Renewal reminder email under Automatic emails and untick it under Other money members owe.
At the door, scan tickets in door mode like membership cards. It shows whether the ticket is paid, takes cash for a pay at the door ticket, and warns if a ticket was already used. You can also sell a ticket on the spot.
Sold out: people can join a waiting list. When a ticket comes free, renuzy emails the first people in line once each, and whoever buys first gets it.
Refunds: press Refund beside the ticket. A card payment goes back through Stripe; cash you hand back yourself. Every refund is recorded with who did it.
Guests who tick Tell me about joining are added as people who have not joined yet, with their permission to email them recorded. Ticket money shows in the board report and its own file as event income, apart from dues.
The Tickets page shows four money counts, how full the event is as a ring, and a ring of orders by where they stand: paid, pay at the door and refunded. A member's own ticket page looks like a ticket, with the QR code on white to show at the door.
