Closing the month
On the 1st renuzy lines up last month’s payments against what it can check. You look over anything flagged, note your deposits, and close the month.
Closing a month says you have checked it. renuzy does the adding up; you do the looking.
- On the 1st, after the monthly report, renuzy prepares last month by itself. You can press Prepare it now sooner.
- Go to Reports, then Close a month. The tiles at the top show what came in, what was refunded or came back, the net, and how many things to look at. The ring under How it came in splits the money by how members paid, and the bar under Cash and checks shows how many batches have a deposit noted.
- Read Things to look at. Each one says in plain words why it may not match your bank or Stripe, such as a check recorded but not deposited.
- Under Cash and checks, by batch, add the day you took each batch to the bank, and the slip number if you like.
- Check the short summary for the board. If the AI wrote it, check every figure.
- Press Close. The month shows a lock, with your name and the date.
Found something later? Press Reopen and say why. The reason is kept with the record. renuzy does not see your Stripe payouts or your bank statement, so the page lists what it could and could not check.
