Paying in parts

Let members pay a yearly option in 2, 3, 4 or 12 parts. They stay in good standing while the parts are on time.

Tick the parts you allow on a yearly option. A member who chooses them pays the first part at checkout, and their card is kept by Stripe on your club's account for the rest.

  • The amount is split into whole cents that add up exactly; any odd cents go on the first parts.
  • Each part covers its own slice of the year, so the member is active exactly while the parts are paid.
  • A week before each part they get an email listing what is still to come. The part is charged on the last day the one before it covers, so there is no gap. If the email could only go late, the part waits until at least 5 days after it.
  • If a charge is declined, nothing is recorded as paid, the member is emailed a link to pay, and renuzy tries once more three days later. After that it is theirs to pay, and your grace period decides as it does for anyone.
  • While a part is still unpaid, the member gets a reminder 3 days and a week after they were asked to pay it, with the same link. Each goes once, and they stop the moment it is paid. To switch either off, open the Renewal reminder email under Automatic emails and untick it under Other money members owe.

Ways to pay lists everyone paying in parts and shows who is behind.
