Taking dues online
To take dues online, go to Online payments and press Connect with Stripe. Stripe asks for your club's details and a bank account, and the money goes straight to your club.
- Go to Online payments. It is also a step on Get set up.
- Have ready your club's name, the bank account the money should go to, and the name of the person who looks after it.
- Press Connect with Stripe. Stripe opens its own form for your club.
- Fill in Stripe's form. At the end, Stripe sends you back to renuzy.
- If the page says Stripe still needs a few details, press Carry on with Stripe.
When Stripe says yes, the page says Online payments are on. Members can pay by card on their page, and renewals and receipts go out the usual way.
If something goes wrong
It says online payments are not switched on yet
Connecting a club's Stripe account opens on launch day. Everything else works now: add members, record checks and cash, send emails and run your events.
It says Stripe is not finished yet
That is normal and usually means one more form. Press Carry on with Stripe and Stripe shows what it still needs.
It opens the Plan page
Online payments unlock when you pick a plan. Add a card on Plan, then come back.
I cannot see Online payments
Only an owner or the treasurer connects Stripe, because it is about the club's money.
Good to know
- Nothing reaches Stripe until you press the button.
- Checks, cash and bank transfers still work alongside. Record them on the member as before.
- The bank account on Stripe should be the club's, never an officer's own. Check it whenever a treasurer changes.
- Paying in parts, pay what you can, discount codes and automatic renewal are in ways to pay.
Questions people ask
Does renuzy hold our money?
No. Card payments go to your club's own Stripe account, and Stripe pays them into your bank.
How do I see the money in Stripe?
Once you are connected, press Open your Stripe on Online payments.
